With all the choices out there in skincare, no doubt it is confusing!
You may even feel it’s more convenient to choose something from the grocery store, Ulta or Sephora.
I get it! It’s just skincare, why does it matter or you may be on a budget, why spend more?
Unfortunately skincare is not very well regulated by the FDA. Many times, clients come to me with skin issues, only to find out that what they are using is causing the problem, either because of ingredients or it was the wrong type of product all along. Frankly, when you purchase that $10 cleanser, do you wonder what the ingredients are? How is this so much less expensive than professional products?
BTW, my professional cleansers are only $22!
The reason these companies are able to profit is because they use less expensive ingredients, questionable fragrances (these are ingredients that they usually don’t tell you about). And what might they be covering up with those sinthetic ingredients and perfumes? In order for these companies to make a profit, you can bet on your hard earned dollar, that the expensive, active ingredients they promote are very diluted. Cutting back on the key active ingredient makes the product more profitable, but at the expense of making them less effective.
Professional products, on the other hand have been fully researched to do what they promise to do, provided they are used properly and consistently.
